A Look at BarnCraft Classic Barn Doors: Double Z Barn Door
Jan 22nd 2020
The Double Z Barn Door is a versatile, attractive addition to our BarnCraft Classic Barn Door collection. Imagine seeing it installed as the door guiding you into your living room, or as the door leading the way to your bedroom oasis. This beautifully constructed sliding door is made from western red alder, an eye-catching, straight-grain species from the coastal regions of western North America.
We love how the Double Z Barn Door in rustic knotty alder gives you endless finishing options. If you’re thinking bold and dramatic, try our traditional charcoal finish. If your design style is a little earthier, you’ll fall for the warm tones of our antique canyon brown or antique cinnamon finishes. We also offer an array of cooler, gray-toned finishes, everything from traditional owl gray to antique winter.
Customize to Perfection
Customization doesn’t stop there. Apart from attractive finishing options, there are plenty of ways to choose a sliding door with exceptional fit. We offer our Double Z Barn Door in widths ranging from 24 to 60 inches—perfect for upgrading the pantry, the doorway from kitchen to living room, or even the walk-in closet of your dreams.
Heights are also customizable—there’s no one-size-fits-all here. You can order the Double Z in sizes ranging from 80 to 96 inches. Imagine how grand your home would look with a dramatic 96-inch sliding door leading from the foyer to a family room with soaring cathedral ceiling.
You can finish the look with your choice of accents. First, choose your rolling hardware if you don’t already have a kit at home. You’ll find 8 options, from the more rustic waggoner hardware to the sleek stainless steel slade. Now what about pull handles? Front handles—take your pick from 15 options. Back handles—you’ll find two handsome choices. You can add the final touches with a privacy lock or soft-close track.
Durable Construction
Our Double Z Barn Door features solid red alder planks with 3/4-inch thickness and tongue and groove construction. Door rails are 1-inch thick. When assembled, the door hangs 5/9 of an inch from the wall.
If you’d like your door to separate two spaces with differing design styles, you’ll appreciate how Double Z styling features on the front size only. The back size features vertical planks with no cross rails.
Double Design Your Space
When it’s time to give your master bathroom a major upgrade, why not upgrade that door as well? Create a double door with two Double Z Barn Doors—it’ll create visual interest and make your master bath feel more spa-like and serene.
Or perhaps you want to double the drama in another way. Don’t let creativity stop at the door if you’re knocking down walls to create a spacious walk-in closet—complete with built-ins, seating, and full-length mirrors. Extend that appeal with two Double Zs—perhaps in a rich antique timber wolf finish or a cool traditional slate gray. You’ll feel ready to take on the day each time you push open those dual sliding doors.
We also offer unfinished Double Z Barn Doors if you love to make your own mark. Ask us about other customization options for a modern barn door, and find out how we can help you achieve your dream design. We look forward to serving you!
