Mar 22nd 2018
The first day of spring was just a few days ago but already, the days are longer, the weather is warmer, and the winter clutter in your home is starting to show. The task of thoroughly sprucing up a home from top to bottom is a massive one, which is why it’s so important to use a spring cleaning checklist.
Bathrooms
Bathrooms get a lot of use and should be the first priority on your spring cleaning checklist.
- Vacuum the floors.
- Wipe down the walls and ceilings.
- Launder any bath mats or throw rugs.
- Wash mirror, cabinets, and the inside of cabinets.
- Soak the shower walls, tubs, floors, sinks, and counters with your preferred cleaning agent for 20 minutes, then rinse and dry.
Bedrooms
There’s nothing quite as welcoming as a freshly-cleaned bedroom. When you are done with your spring cleaning, you’re going to feel so cozy and relaxed in your refreshed bedroom.
- Vacuum the floors.

- Remove unworn clothes from closets and dressers and donate them.
Kitchens
Though the kitchen is cleaned regularly due to the nature of its purpose, a thorough spring cleaning allows you to clean the nooks and crannies that are often overlooked.
- Remove all contents from the refrigerator and freeze.
- Wipe the interior and exterior of your fridge down with a cleaning solution of your choice
- Use a soapy steel wool pad to remove grease from cooking appliance. (Remember to remove stove grates and oven racks to clean individually.)

Probably the most tedious part of your spring cleaning routine is the living room, due to the fact that there are many smaller items to dust and clean, such as books, artwork, knick knacks, and so on. Take it slow so you don’t break or damage anything!
